ReMEDI Rx Terms & Conditions

All terms and conditions, definitions and interpretation, training given, actions planned and taken, contracts drawn up and undertaken are under the terms of the law in England and Wales. Unless the context otherwise requires, words importing one gender include all other genders and words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa.

1. Definitions and Interpretation. The Company: Advanced Clinical Management Ltd trading as ReMEDI Rx. Registered at Cardiff, company number 6544360. Health Care Professional (HCP): Professional person working in Health care who is entitled to undertake the ReMEDI Rx Clinical English Training Course. Clinical English Training Course: Course given in Clinical English Training by ReMEDI Rx. Course Director: Clinical trainer who manages each course. Managing Director: Clinical trainer who directs the Company and may also be Course Director. Group courses: ReMEDI Rx courses given to groups of 10 maximum. Bespoke courses: ReMEDI Rx course tailored to suit 1:1 or 1:2 training. Registration: Registration of interest in course by a Potential Candidate and the giving of preferred dates. Terms and Conditions: The Terms and Conditions of ReMEDI Rx, completion of the Registration form either on line or by post will confirm that the Potential Candidate has read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions. Potential Candidate: HCP who has Registered with ReMEDI Rx. Telephone Interview:  A Telephone Interview between the potential Candidate and the Managing Director during which time payment in full or a deposit is made. Full Cost: Full Cost of the course is payable at or before 6 weeks prior to the first day of the course. Deposit: A Deposit is 10% of the cost of the course with the balance becoming payable at 6 weeks prior to the first day of the course. Method of payment: Payment for Full Cost or Deposit is made during the Telephone Interview using the Potential Candidate’s debit or credit card. This can be in Sterling or Euros. Candidate: HCP who has paid either the Full Cost of the course or a Deposit. Pre Course Training: Training and work undertaken by the Candidate prior to the course. CV and passport style Photograph: Required following Telephone interview to assist with Pre Course Training and work. ReMEDI Rx Course: 2-day intensive training course in clinical English. IELTS: International English Language Testing System. Academic IELTS exam: The Academic version of IELTS exam, (there are 2 versions, academic and general). Academic IELTS Grade 7 (out of 9): This is the minimum entry level for doctors wanting to work in the UK. ReMEDI Rx Certificate: Certificate stating that proficiency in the use of clinical English has been achieved following the ReMEDI Rx Clinical English Training Course. ReMEDI Rx and IELTS Certificate: Double Certificate stating that proficiency in the use of clinical English has been achieved following the ReMEDI Rx course and that the Academic version of IELTS has been achieved at a grade of 7 or higher. ReMEDI Rx Graduate: HCP who has undertaken the ReMEDI Rx course and gained the ReMEDI Rx certificate. ReMEDI Rx/IELTS Graduate: HCP who has undertaken the ReMEDI Rx course, gained the ReMEDI Rx certificate and passed Academic IELTS at 7 or higher and received the IELTS certificate plus the ReMEDI Rx double certificate. UK Employment Business: A company specialising in placing HCPs into jobs in the UK. RMO: Resident Medical Officer. UK Private Sector: Private hospitals in the UK. RMO Contract: A contract between the RMO and the Employment Business. Starting Bonus: Bonus paid to HCP at the time of his first month’s salary. Membership Exams: Senior doctor exams giving membership to the Royal Colleges. BNF: British National Formulary.

2. General. The ReMEDI Rx Website has been developed as a service of ReMEDI Rx. Like any other service, in spite of the best efforts of the Company, the information in this Website may become out of date over time. Nothing on this Website should be construed as the giving of advice or the making of a recommendation and it should not be relied on as the basis for any decision or action.

ReMEDI Rx accepts no liability for the accuracy or completeness or use of, nor any liability to update, the information contained on this Website. These materials are provided "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Once a payment has been accepted, by ReMEDI Rx, you agree that you will be bound by ReMEDI Rx Terms and Conditions.

3. Health Care Professional. (HCP). ReMEDI Rx courses are available to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and other professionals allied to medicine. This includes HCPs either in training or qualified and by offering payment to ReMEDI Rx, you confirm that you work as an HCP within the groups as described herein.

4. Telephone Interview. The telephone interview may last up to 30 minutes and will ascertain that the prospective candidate has sufficient English skills to take the ReMEDI Rx Clinical English Course. For those wishing to proceed, FULL payment will be made at this telephone interview if there are 6 weeks or less before the scheduled course start date. If the date to course date is greater than 6 weeks, then 10% deposit will be paid during the telephone interview.

5. Pre Course Training. ReMEDI Rx Clinical English Pre Course Training commences following the telephone interview.

6. CV and Photograph of candidate. All candidates agree to send a current CV and passport style photograph to ReMEDI Rx Head Office to assist ReMEDI Rx to optimise the Clinical English Training Course.

7. Cost of the course does not include the following; Travel and travel arrangements to and from the course centre, third night’s accommodation and food if required, IELTS exam costs and exam arrangements, nor the purchase of a British National Formulary (BNF) which every candidate will require prior to the course.

8. Venue. ReMEDI Rx uses its best endeavours to hold courses in the UK and Germany as identified in the literature. However, if through circumstances beyond the control of the company this has to be changed, ReMEDI Rx will use its best endeavours to give every candidate the maximum notice of the change of venue.

9. Cancellations. All cancellations for whatever reason must be given in writing, either by post when the date of the arrival of the letter will be taken as the cancellation date or by email. If email is used, this MUST be preceded by the candidate phoning the ReMEDI Rx Head Office between 9:00 and 5:00 (UK time) Monday to Friday on 07525 777888 stating name, dates of course and reason for cancellation.

10. Refund Policy. Whilst all deposits and/or course fees are non-refundable, ReMEDI Rx will use its absolute discretion and will make every endeavour to provide a refund or part refund having taken into account the costs of administration, accommodation, food, stationery and other such costs which may have already been purchased on behalf of the HCP. There will be no refunds where the candidate reduces the length of his course.

11. Service. ReMEDI Rx reserves the right to change details of its services, including courses, venues, facilities and course dates, where circumstances beyond the company’s control necessitate such changes or where the number of enrolments is not enough to operate a course viably. Notwithstanding this, where ReMEDI Rx cancels a course, the company will make every effort to provide a  refund within 4 weeks of the date of the course. In the unlikely event that ReMEDI Rx has to shorten a course, and cannot  make the time up to the candidate, ReMEDI Rx will provide the candidate with a payment to reimburse him/her for the missing hours of training, within 4 weeks of the course.

12. Public Holidays. All GROUP course dates are planned so as to avoid major public holidays. BESPOKE courses that include a public holiday may incur an extra charge.

13. Travel, Accident and Medical Insurance. All candidates attending the ReMEDI Rx course must have their own insurance in place and by confirming that the Terms and Conditions have been read and agreed to, HCPs agree that they are adequately covered with appropriate insurances.

14. Academic version of IELTS. (International English Language Testing System ).  All ReMEDI Rx Graduates agree that they will take the Academic version of IELTS exam, as soon as possible after the ReMEDI Rx course.  The candidates must confirm that they have booked their IELTS exam and inform ReMEDI RX of the proposed VENUE and the proposed DATE. This should be undertaken at least 5 weeks before the ReMEDI course date. The candidate will pay for and organise the taking of the IELTS exam, (possibly in a venue near his home or work). ReMEDI Rx will work with candidates to help them pass the IELTS exam but it is the responsibility of the candidate to prepare thoroughly, revise sufficiently and practice in order to gain a good grade.

15. BNF. Candidates will purchase their own copy of a current BNF and become familiar with it prior to the ReMEDI Rx course.

16. Certification following ReMEDI Rx courses in Clinical English Training. A ReMEDI Rx Certificate will be given to successful Graduates stating that proficiency in the use of Clinical English has been achieved following the ReMEDI Rx Clinical English Course. A ReMEDI Rx and IELTS Double Certificate will be given to successful ReMEDI Rx graduates who have passed both the ReMEDI Rx course and obtained a grade 7 or higher in their Academic IELTS exam, stating that proficiency in the use of Clinical English has been achieved following the ReMEDI Rx course and that the Academic version of IELTS has been achieved at a grade of 7 or higher. Graduates agree to notify ReMEDI Rx immediately after they receive the IELTS result and to forward to ReMEDI Rx, a scanned copy of the IELTS certificate in order for them to receive the double ReMEDI Rx/IELTS certificate. Graduates agree to forward documentation within a maximum period of 30 days following notification of passing the IELTS exam at grade 7 or higher.

17. Police Check. All HCPs wishing to work in the UK as a HCP, agree to obtaining a police check from their country of origin and understand that before they commence work in the UK, their prospective employer will require (and obtain on their behalf), a CRB Enhanced Disclosure.

18. UK Employment Business. All doctors who wish to work in the UK after they have Graduated through the ReMEDI Rx training course and who have attained a 7 or higher at Academic IELTS, will be eligible to and agree that ReMEDI Rx will give their information detail and photograph to an Employment Business (third party), for the sole purpose of the Employment business offering the doctor a contract to work in the UK as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in a UK private hospital and HCPs will indemnify ReMEDI Rx accordingly.

Doctor’s salary will be paid by the Employment Business and any doctor making an application to work in the UK, acknowledges and agrees that no salaries, bonuses and other remuneration will be paid by ReMEDI Rx.

ReMEDI Rx forms no part of the Employment Business and cannot take responsibility for their business and any offers made from said business are subject to their terms and conditions of employment and are under the law of England and Wales.

19. Membership Exams. All doctors wishing to pass their Membership exams will receive a bonus from ReMEDI Rx if they pass the complete exam within one year of taking the ReMEDI Rx course. Proof of passing will need to be seen by ReMEDI Rx and to this end doctors agree to provide a photocopy of their Membership certificate with their membership number for verification, within 4 weeks of passing their membership exams.

20. Liability ReMEDI Rx and its staff and representatives will not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property howsoever caused, except where liability is expressly imposed by law.

ReMEDI Rx reserves the right to expel any candidate whose conduct is unsatisfactory at the absolute discretion of the Course Director or Managing Director, whose decision will be final. No fees will be refunded in such cases and any unpaid fees become payable immediately.

21. Resolution of disputes. ReMEDI Rx’s aim is to treat every client fairly and the company will always work towards this end. In the event of a dispute between an individual and ReMEDI Rx, procedures are in place to facilitate the resolution of the dispute. Any complaint should be discussed with the Course Leader before the end of the course and must be made in writing to the Managing Director whose decision will be final and with no right of appeal, at ReMEDI Rx Head Office UK within 30 days of the course. All complaints will be fully investigated provided that they are received within one month of the course ending.

22. Copyright and intellectual property. The use of any material published on this Website for unauthorised commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.

ReMEDI Rx hereby authorises you to copy materials published by it on this Website for NON-commercial use only, provided any copy of these materials which you make shall retain all copyright and other proprietary notices and any disclaimer contained thereon and on this Website. In addition, we request that you reference and link back to the relevant ReMEDI Rx Website page.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppel or otherwise any license or right under any patent or trademark of ReMEDI Rx or any third party. Except as expressly provided above, nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring any license or right under any ReMEDI Rx copyright.
